The Synonym feature, available in Views, allows you to relate two or more similar words to the searched word. 

This feature allows you to capture varying terminology that a user might use in their search queries. You will never have to miss out on providing the most relevant results for the users.

Synonyms allow you to create associations between different search terms, allowing you to create a comprehensive keyword set. This allows you to capture the user intent irrespective of the vernacular.

For example, while searching for ‘Black bag’, the search engine pulls out all possible search results that are synonymous with the query – black handbags, backpacks, and other similar variations.

Adding Synonyms

Following are the steps:

1. In the Keyspider UI, navigate to Collections > Synonyms > Add Synonyms. The Add Synonyms window is displayed.
2. Click Add new synonyms to add new Synonyms or click Save to add the synonyms.

Create New Synonyms

Editing Synonyms

Following are the steps:

1. In the Keyspider UI, navigate to Collections > Synonyms > Add Synonyms. The Add Synonyms window is displayed.
2. Click on the edit icon to edit the synonyms.
3. Make the updates and click on Save to update the synonyms.

Deleting Synonyms

Following are the steps:

1. In the Keyspider UI, navigate to Collections > Synonyms > Add Synonyms. The Add Synonyms window is displayed.
2. Click on the Delete icon to delete the data data. The Delete Data Source window is displayed.
3. Click OK to delete the data source or Cancel to retain the data source.
